*I was not paid for this post but provided with Cowgirl Dirt Samples for the purpose of review and my honest opinion. The following is my thoughts and review….
Whether you are a true homegrown cowgirl, a cowgirl wannabe or not even close to being a cowgirl you are bound to fall in love with Cowgirl Dirt!
Cowgirl Dirt is totally natural, totally western and totally pure cosmetics. They are made in the USA and are a family owned and operated business. Cowgirl Dirt products are made with only the purest organic ingredients that not only enhances your natural beauty, but also contains vitamins, nutrients and anti-oxidants that nourish your skin.
I am not a huge makeup person. I tend to stick to the basics and call it good. When I found Cowgirl Dirt it sounded like my kind of makeup. I’d much rather put something natural, made in the USA and good for me on my face than something with unknown ingredients. As you know makeup is hard to pick online to get the exact color you are looking for, but with Cowgirl Dirt they offer affordable samples so you can try it first. Super smart.
I ordered up a few samples to really see what Cowgirl Dirt was all about. Here are the selections I received:
• Southern Belle Cream Foundation – Neutral 3
• Concealer – Neutral Light
• Finishing Powder
• Yeehaw Lip Tints – Seabiscuit
• Wild West Blush – Rawhide
• Silverado Cream Eye Shadow – Sweet Cream
• Eyeshadows in Smokin’ Denim, Hi Ho Silver, Cactus & Midnight
I was pleasantly surprised I was able to pick my foundation pretty close to perfect from their color chart and recommendations. It goes on super smooth and covers blemishes with ease. I really love the look and feel of the cream foundation and will be buying more of this. It made my skin feel super soft and stayed on all day. $25.99.
The concealer does the job it is suppose to do. Again I was happy with my color choice from the recommended chart. It easily covers any blemishes and blends in with the cream foundation nicely. It is super thick yet doesn’t look thick or chunky on your face. $13.99.
I really loved the Finishing Powder. It was just the little extra that was needed over the Cream Foundation to finish out the look. You can also wear it under the foundation to absorb extra oil. $16.99.
I am not a big lipstick wearer. I think it just looks weird on me. However I really really liked the Yeehaw Lip Tints. I chose Seabiscuit which is a lighter more neutral color but felt it was just enough to dress up my look without being over the top. Long lasting and lightly citrus flavored this hydrates your lips and looks great. $11.99.
Blush is something else I don’t normally wear but again really loved the end result. As I don’t wear blush often I felt it was hard for me to choose which color would be best. I chose the Rawhide which was darker than I expected and I only needed to use a tiny dab to get just what I was looking for. $15.99.
The Silverado Cream Eye Shadow was something else new for me. I chose the Sweet Cream color. You are suppose to use it to moisturize the eye lid and provide a base for powder eye shadow to create a longer lasting look. The Sweet Cream was so light I didn’t really notice it as much and probably wouldn’t use again as I was now getting out of my comfort zone with product. But for those of you who are good with makeup this could be perfect for you! $8.99.
The Eye Shadow was something I was excited about and picked four colors to try. I like funky fun eye color and there are some really fun choices. They have shimmering, sparkle, mystic, base and matte in over 40 color choices. I really love sparkle colors and loved pairing Hi Ho Silver with my other selections especially Cactus. I was happy with all the colors and how long lasting they were. $8.99.
Here is my finished look. What do you think?
Cowgirl Dirt also carries body care products and natural brushes as well. I feel like the prices are very reasonable and you get free shipping on domestic orders of $75 or more.
All the samples are just 99 cents and provide 1-3 uses. I felt it was just enough to give me a good feel if it was for me or not. And after sampling Cowgirl Dirt and knowing that it is all natural and organic and looks and feels this good I will be switching up my makeup for sure.
Cowgirl Dirt would make a perfect gift this holiday season for yourself or someone special! Worried about choosing the right color? Don’t be! Gift certificates are available and easy to order in $25 increments up to $100. You could also order a few samples which would make excellent stocking stuffers!
