There is just something about the holidays that brings out the craftiness in all of us! Wanting to spread cheer and see the joy and excitement in our children is pretty good motivation to get your craft on. It’s often the simple things such as a cup of hot cocoa with a candy cane and marshmallows that make my boys eyes light up but sometimes it is so much fun to create something a little more elaborate and really see the holiday sparkle and wonderment come out!

So today I’m going to share with you how to create something super fun and special out of basic everyday snacks such as Snack Pack pudding cups.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-heroI grew up having Snack Pack pudding cups on hand for camping, for our lunch pails as well as after school snacks and sports and now my boys love to have them as a special treat as well. There are multiple sizes and flavors that make it a treat everyone will love. Best of all I can find not only all of my groceries including Snack Pack pudding cups at WALMART but all of my holiday decorations, craft supplies and basic home necessities too.

Snack-Pack-Walmart-aSnack-Pack-WalmartThere are so many ways to use and dress up Snack Pack pudding cups. They make a super quick snack and dessert for almost any occasion. You can add just about anything to them to create fun and unique tastes and looks. Before opening your Snack Pack Pudding Cups use the spray glitter and give the base of the pudding cups a good coating of glitter. The pictures don’t do the glitter justice but they sparkle and shine just like the “snow” I wanted it to be. Let dry.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-aSnack-Pack-Sledding-cups-bUsing your frosting as your “glue” attach two mini candy canes to one Nutter Butter cookie.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-cSnack-Pack-Sledding-cups-dTake a BIG Sour Patch Kid and bend the base of it so it appears to be sitting. Put a dab of frosting on the base and set it on your cookie sled.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-fTake a small Sour Patch Kid in the matching color and put a dab of frosting on it and place behind your BIG Sour Patch Kid. This will create a little chair and keep your BIG Sour Patch Kid from falling backward.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-gTake your sour candy stripes and cut each color into a separate strip. Take the matching color or color of your choice and put a dab of frosting on and attach to the back of your Sour Patch Kid pulling around the front and pinching together as arms.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-eNow you have your adorable sledding buddies! Simple right?

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-hNext open your Snack Pack Pudding Cups. I ended up using all vanilla so it looked more like snow but flavor doesn’t really matter. Put a blob of your whipped frosting on top of the pudding.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-iSet your sledding buddy as you wish on top of the frosting and then sprinkle the shredded coconut on the frosting.

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-jAnd there you have it. You just created the most adorable anytime snack or treat for any holiday gathering for young and old alike!

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-kI have some pretty amazing fellow bloggers who have also made some pretty incredible Snack Pack Mix-Ins. There is no limit to your creativity! Think outside the box! You will be the highlight of the party this year when you show up with Snack Pack!

Snack-Pack-Sledding-cups-lDon’t forget you can find Snack Pack pudding cups at your local WALMART. I live nearly an hour from my closest WALMART and I love that they are my one stop shop to get the things I can’t get here in town. I can browse the craft and art supplies for hours and they always have the random supplies I need to throw together all my crazy creations. My WALMART even has a fabric section and I was able to find the perfect holiday fabric to make my boys Christmas shirts this year.
